How we test a stock

A well-sized 90 gsm sheet handles ink better than a badly sized 120 gsm one. Sizing controls how far ink spreads before it dries, and it never appears on the cover.

01 — Wet nib

A broad fountain nib at full flow. Feathering shows up here or nowhere.

02 — Reverse

We look at the back of the sheet, not the front. Ghosting is the honest measure.

03 — Dry time

Left-handed writers need under eight seconds. We time it.
